Village Dental Clinic is a two-practice dental group in Sydney — Kogarah on Station Street and Haymarket in the CBD — led by Principal Dentist Dr. Anju Prajapati Maharjan. Fourteen dentists, prosthetists and support staff work across both rooms, providing preventative, restorative and cosmetic dentistry for patients of every age.

Village Dental Clinic has cared for families across Kogarah and the Sydney CBD since the practice opened, providing preventative, restorative and cosmetic dentistry for patients of every age — from a child’s first check-up through to full-mouth restoration.
The Kogarah rooms at Shop 5/23-26 Station St are open Monday to Wednesday and Friday from 9:00am to 5:00pm, Thursday from 9:30am to 6:30pm, and Saturday mornings from 9:00am to 1:00pm, with a second practice in Haymarket in the Sydney CBD. Prevention and Oral Health Maintenance
We believe preventative dental care and maintenance is vital to your dental health. Through regular scheduled exams we check the overall health of your teeth and gums, perform oral cancer screenings, and perform x-rays to detect problems before they worsen. Routine dental cleanings, sealants, and fluoride treatments help prevent cavities and dental disease. We review your medical history to assess your overall health and identify any illnesses that may have an impact on your dental health.
If it has been a while between visits, our check-up and clean offer is the simplest place to start, and children aged 0–17 may be eligible for Medicare bulk billing.
Office Sterilization and Safety Procedures
We want to ensure the health of our patients and our dental team. Our practice follows safety procedures recommended by the Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA), the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Center for Disease Control (CDC).
These measures include:
- 01 Using disinfectant hand soap
- 02 Wearing gloves, masks, glasses and/or face shields
- 03 Chemical disinfection of countertops and surfaces
- 04 Sterilization of all non-disposable instruments and equipment before every use
- 05 Chemical disinfection of all items which cannot be sterilized
- 06 Use of disposable plastic coverings and sheath over surfaces with high contact such as the dental chair, equipment, air/water syringe and light handles.

Training & Expertise
Continuing education is not a line on a certificate here — it is why the treatment you are offered this year may be gentler than the one you would have been offered five years ago.
Our dental team is comprised of highly trained and skilled professionals who are licensed and certified. At our practice, we are committed to continuing education and learning. We regularly attend training classes, dental lectures, and dental conventions so we can offer the latest dental techniques, procedures, products and equipment to our patients.
We are also active members in various dental associations – this helps our office keep up with changes and advances in the dental profession. The goal of our practice is to provide superior dental health care while creating lasting relationships with each individual patient.
